There’s an amazing bit of magic in this container – gluten-free cornbread that doesn’t taste like spackle the way most GF breads do. This is a very dense, not sweetened cornbread that can even be eaten when it’s no longer piping hot without losing it’s taste. I even reheat in the microwave on subsequent days, and it’s still good!

My husband and I are both allergic to gluten and would sorely miss cornbread without this item. We have had no adverse affects from this product, despite having had a reaction to some of the other Bob’s Red Mill items. I also use this to make corn griddle cakes, corn dogs, corn bread pudding and tamale pie. We live in a rural area and Amazon’s pricing blows the local grocery stores prices out of the water, so we order this through “Subscribe and Save” which we have been very pleased with.

Really love this corn bread flour. ⊙.☉ But had to add the following to the recipe because the mix was way too thick:1 3/4 cup warm waterwith 3 tablespoons of sugar in it1 teaspoon of vanilla extract1tablespoon apple cider vinegar

I make it in a large pan so it will be thin. I think that improves the texture and flavor. It is very good.

Delicious gluten free cornbread. I use silicone cupcake cups and make about 16 muffins per package. They freeze well, so nothing goes to waste.

We have this on subscription shipping every other month. We have found all the Bob’s Red Mill items to be very good quality. The price is about a little cheaper than we can buy locally, so I say the price is good but not great. Some of the items we buy on Amazon are half our local prices. I don’t think you can go wrong with Bob’s.With a couple of Gluten Free people in the house we appreciate it. The only cornbread my boyz like better is when my wife grinds popcorn in the grinder and makes the cornbread.

I’ve had a life long love of cornbread and cornbread comes in many forms. But this gluten free cornbread tastes like cornbread should. It may be a little heavy for some eaters as it can be dense with just the milk, oil and egg liquids. I typically add a small cup of applesauce to my mix for additional moisture and slight flavor. Very good value for us who can’t eat gluten. Never had any stomach issues with Red Mill!!

If you are trying to eliminate or reduce gluten in your diet, then I highly recommend Bob’s Red Mill gluten-free products. I also purchase this brand’s GF brownie mix and GF all-purpose flour. This cornbread mix is easy, adding only melted butter and eggs. One bag yields a 9″x9″ pan or 12 muffins. I suggest not overmixing the ingredients, and be sure to bake long enough to obtain the crusty, golden crust. This satisfies my bread craving, especially great with homemade chili or vegetable soup or roasted veggies. Best when fresh from the oven, so I usually make a half-batch at a time, so the cornbread will not dry out before use.

I have missed cornbread so much since going gluten free. i absolutely love this mix and it’s a great value for how much you get. not quite as moist and chewy as regular cornbread but for a gluten free option, it was amazing.

The 1st time I made it the bread was super dense and no one ate it. The entire loaf went into the trash. The 2nd time I made it I used:~ silk vanilla almond milk,~ (instead of egg) 2tbs of flax seed meal soaked in 4 tbsp of hot water for over 5 minutes,~ 1/4 cup of organic raw honey,~ 1/4 cup of organic sugar.I also used a bun pan instead of a loaf pan. The bread came out so fluffy and good. I am so glad because for a moment I thought the entire order was a waste 🙂
