I grew up in an Italian family who made their living in the coffee and wine industry. I have been drinking gourmet coffee made from family owned roasters/ baristas since the age of seven. I drink my coffee black as I truly love the taste of uninterrupted coffee. I am thoroughly impressed with the smooth finish of this brand. There is no “bite” which is what I describe as the awful aftertaste that can come with some coffees when drinking it black. My husband and I spend our weekends on our small houseboat where space is an issue. I have been searching high and low for the perfect pour over that tasted fresh and stored well for lengths of time. This is it! I have now switched to serving this brand at my company as well. This has been well received by all. Don’t let the inexpensive price fool you. This is good stuff! We use an automatic coffee maker to brew it at work and I use a pour over method at our houseboat. Works well for each.

Tired of the grocery store coffee containers getting smaller and smaller for the same damn price? Coffee that takes more and more grounds to get a decent cup? Pretentious frou-frou hipster-friendly designer flavors? Then this coffee is for you. Comes in a Number 10 can-sized plastic container, and is very reasonably priced. Only takes three scoops where we used to use five scoops of ‘the other leading brand’. Provides a most excellent cup of good, strong, robust coffee that tastes like coffee without being harsh or bitter.Just wish it had more caffeine.Highly recommend – try it, you’ll like it!

I love this coffee. The first pot in the morning I make super strong. If my pot auto shuts off before I am done with my morning java, I add a little more water and let it run through the same filter. It’s still strong and now hot!Seriously it’s a very stout coffee and if you are using 3 scoops for 6 cups in your maker now of your current coffee, use 2 and a half scoops for 8 cups with this. It will still perk you up and still be strong.I always leave the extra in the pot for some afternoon iced coffee. Add a little flavored creamer and you have yourself a coffee bar worthy iced coffee.I like to buy the big “buckets” here on Amazon because the only stores I can find this brand of coffee in only carry the little tin cans. It’s cheaper to buy a couple of these and have it on hand.

I recently got rid of my pod based machine in favor of using a French press. I was using Bustelo in pod form. It wasn’t necessarily bad, but it left something to be desired.Today I got this tub in the mail and started to make it. And boy does it taste substantially better than the pods. As long as the water to ground ratio is good, it comes out delicious. This probably tastes good in a regular drip coffee maker as well.Price was very fair for the amount that you get too. Tub should last a good amount of time. At least 1-2 months but maybe even more. I will continue to use this for sure.

This is the 3rd cannister, I’m on of this coffee. In the past I was not big on drinking coffee, I didn’t understand the big deal my coworkers would make over coffee. I would make a cup of “instant” coffee every now and again & call it a day. The taste of Cafe Bustelo “instant” coffee was “okay”. No big deal to me. Until I finally broke down and purchased a coffee machine. It was very simple to function and was not expensive. Eventhough I was never a big coffee person in the past, I knew “instant” versions of any foods always seem to taste worse when compared to the original versions. This coffee won me over by a landslide once I finally tasted it from a coffee machine. It tasted WAY BETTER than its instant version. In fact, I always end up coming back to my trusty delicious, smooth taste- Cafe Bustelo. I try the popular commercial brands. like Folgers, Maxwell House, McCabe, Dunkin Donuts, and even Starbucks! Sure they taste pretty good but…not good enough to make me stray away from my Cafe Bustelo. It is hands down one of the most delicious smelling, tasting, smooth, coffees ☕ you’ll ever experience. Try it! I went from being an occasional “instant” coffee drinker, to drinking a cup or 2 of coffee a day ( A cup to take to work. And I drink a cup after work when I’m ready to relax and unwind.)

I make both coffee and espresso with this. I make a better espresso with this than starbucks does with theirs (yes, I just said that).Put 4-5 ounces of water in the coffee maker. Put 3 heaping tablespoons of this coffee in the filter. Stir the coffee in the filter as the water makes its way through to the coffee pot. This makes the end result very potent, makes it drip slower, and makes it espresso. This coffee is not available at any of our local stores and I think it’s because of the shutdown. Glad that Amazon is still selling it. Wonderful stuff.

We LOVE Cafe Bustelo for cold brew coffee. Its dark roast makes the best flavored cold brew–rich, strong, and amazing over ice. Buying the 36 ounce container means we run out less often. We save tons of money by not buying cold brew out, and when you live in State 48, cold brew is on the menu 10-12 months of the year. Having a coffee brand that never fails as a cold brew makes every morning a little easier. (Use this cold brew pot. Trust me.  Hario Mizudashi Cold Brew Iced Coffee Pot/Maker (1000ml, Red) )

Cafe Bustelo Espresso is my favorite coffee. The price + flavor combination can’t be beaten. This is the only way to buy it if you drink coffee on the daily. The storage container maintains a nice seal in order to keep the coffee fresh. While my friends have pointed out that this is espresso coffee and shouldn’t be brewed and drank how I do, I find it fantastic in a french press or in a pour over situation. The flavor is bold and works great with a splash of creamer – no extra sugar required. I use reduced fat half and half just to cut the acidic nature of any coffee. Before you buy any other budget-coffee, give this cuban style coffee a spin. You won’t regret it.
