Sometimes confused with ruby-in-fuchsite, ruby in Zoisite is a natural combination of stones found only in northeast Tanzania. However, because it is mined in such abundance there, even large specimens remain reasonably affordable. This stone is a popular carving material.
Healing Properties
Since ruby in Zoisite consists of two different stones – zoisite and ruby – some claim it has a diverse array of benefits and healing powers. Rubies are often associated with strength, determination, and the removal of anxiety or other negative emotions. Zoisite, meanwhile, is considered to be a stone of calming, rebirth, and renewal. Some believe that ruby in Zoisite can help people going through the mourning process. The stone is associated with several chakras: Crown, Third Eye, Heart, and Root.

Meaning
Ruby in Zoisite does not have a long history of human use, and so there are few (if any) myths or legends associated with the stone. Uses
Ruby in Zoisite does not have any industrial or commercial uses, but it is sought after by some collectors. Ruby in Zoisite specimens may be left as is, especially if their rubies are particularly large, impressive, or colorful. Or, they may be tumbled or polished. When polished, they sport a handsome pink and green speckled pattern. Specimens like these are often sold at rock shops or jewelry stores.
