Recently, I ordered some vanilla-flavored coffee. I know… It was late and I wasn’t thinking straight. But it took some bad coffee to remind me of how good this coffee is. What I like most is that in addition to the full flavor, it lacks that somewhat bitter top note that you find in Starbucks or Pete’s. Is it the best coffee in the world? I don’t know. I’m not an expert. But, I can tell you that I’ll stick with this. For the price, it seems the best bang for the buck.

I like bold strong and a bit bitter coffee notes but dislike the high acidity levels of some brands/roasts; Gevalia French Roast is strong and a bit bitter in a good way (I use half and half which softens the bitterness) but none of the acidity. I drink “half caf” most of the day but like “full caf” in the morning and sometimes in the afternoon.

My father-in-law always had a pot of Gavalia coffee going when my wife and I went to visit over the holidays. They has since passed away but thankfully not the tradition. I got excited when I saw it on Amazon and I made it mine. My wife gave me a special cup for hot and cold beverages so I christened it with a (several) cups of memories. I never thought to look. for it on Amazon. Thanks

Although available as whole beans, the ground Gevalia coffees maintain a surprisingly unexpected moisture level that enhances their taste and aroma, as well as storage longevity, far better than I have ever experienced from an affordable coffee. The two strongest ratings (boldest) are absolutely superb.

I HAVE BEEN USING THIS COFFEE FOR PROBABLY TEN OR MORE YEARS. I USE TO BUY IT DIRECT FROM GEVALIA COMPANY DIRECT, BECAUSE IT WAS NOT AVAILABLE ELSEWHERE. NOW IT IS MORE CONVENIENT FROM AMAZON AND CHEAPER. I AM SLOWLY INTRODUCING IT TO MY FAMILY MEMBERS AND THEY SWEAR BY IT. THE BEST FAVOR EVER THAT YOU COULD GET IN A COFFEE. I STARTED OUT USING TRADITIONAL GEVALIA COFFEE, BUT I STILL PREFER THE DARK FRENCH ROAST. NEVER BITTER, BUT THE SMOOTHIES TASTE YOU COULD GET IN ANY COFFEE.IF YOU EVER TRIED IT, YOU WOULD NEVER LEAVE AND GO BACK TO YOUR OLD BRAND.

Gevalia has distinctive aroma and taste.Having finished the Medium roast, opened this one…first the aroma was not forthcoming…. the taste was nothing like Gevalia and I was skeptical about the medium roast initially being a dark coffee drinker.Just don’t understand why this is so. Very bad PR if Gevalia is selling some cheap coffee under its otherwise excellent reputation!Someone needs to give a plausible explanation for this.

I absolutely LOVE GEVALIA FRENCH ROAST COFFEE. Is there a better way to start your day off than with a mellow, yet flavored nutty bold taste. I’ve been drinking it for a very long time. It’s soothing to me. I can taste the effort it took to produce such a great tasting coffee from one of my favorites France.

I love Gevalia French roast coffee. So there was nothing wrong with the coffee. It was the packaging that made me a little nervous. I ordered four packages. Each one looked as if it had been opened at one point and resealed.The dark brown plastic twisty tie strip looked like it had been RE secured. Was in several different positions on all four packages. It was unevenly placed.I will think twice before I order from this company again. I’m a little nervous about how pure the coffee is. And may end up returning it
