    So easy, mix, one egg, 1/3 C milk. Stir until blended not until lumps disappear. Set aside. Use a cast iron pan if you have one. For best results as the oven nears the 400F mark, grease your pan with Crisco shortening or pour a small amount of oil in the cast iron pan and place it in the oven allowing it to reach near the 400F mark. When the oven is preheated remove the pan and rake the mix into the pan. It should be slightly lumpy and not smooth. Return the pan and contents to the 400F oven for approx 18-20 minutes if making cornbread. Remove from oven when the top has a somewhat uniform golden appearance and a toothpick can be inserted and removed “clean”. Place a plate upside down over pan and then turn upside down to release cake. If the crust is too brown cut back on the oil or grease used in the pan or temp it was allowed to reach before filling with mix. Play around with it until you have what you like. Jiffy also makes very good muffin mixes you may find on your shelves.

    Here’s yet another great recipe for this product. In a bowl add Jiffy mix, 1 can of cream corn, 1/4 cup of water, 1/4 cup of melted butter and 2 tablespoons of sugar. Mix it really well and put it in a loaf pan in the oven at 350 degrees for 45minutes. It’s a delicious take on a sweet corn bread. It will be a soft bread, not a muffin and goes great with everything from Mexican food to steaks to pot roast!

    I usually make two boxes and add in one can of drained corn to make a 9” x 13” pan. They were so good that last time I made them my guy got up in the night and ate the ENTIRE pan of cornbread.

    I use this as a base for so many things. Have you tried some of this in your waffle batter? Put about half a package in place of some of your pancake and waffle mix and thank me later. Also great as a base for corn fritters. Want a delicious and quick change of pace? Add hot pepper cheese and creamed corn instead of some of the milk , prepare muffin pans with butter flavored spray and those corn muffins will be gone before they can get cold.

    This product is still as yummy and delish as I remember – that haven’t ruined it. It’s simple, easy to make, and goes with everything. Soup, chili, even a salad. You could spend more money and get a load of chemicals and blandness. Stick with the original, and enjoy.

    First it arrived as a tiny package like it’s says environmental friendly, I thought it won’t even make 12 muffins. But it CAN! And they taste so good! It bakes very easy and say the environment and also your storage! Tasty! Give it a go and wind regret and it’s cheap!
