I love that I can just add water to this. I don’t even need to measure. Pour some mix into a bowl add just enough water to make it the right consistency, by then the fry pan is hot and I just pour and flip. Breakfast in minutes. Add blueberries or chocolate chips. So easy, so fast.

Love this mix. Its delicious and I can just measure out enough for just my teen daughter. Its nice and fluffy weather you add milk or water. No eggs needed. You can also make cakes and flatbreads with it as well as quick cupcakes with the mix. Trying new recipes for my college-aged daughter so she can make it in the microwave.

The best pancakes I’ve ever had are the ones I make from scratch. The next best pancakes I’ve ever had are the ones I make with this mix.Pancakes are a weird beast. I don’t think “light and fluffy” is a good way to describe optimal pancakes because with “light and fluffy” also comes the need for a gallon of syrup to wash it down. Light and fluffy turns into soggy and unappetizing. So when I make pancakes, I try to make something that actually repels the syrup a little bit. A more chewy texture is preferable, and I can accomplish that with this mix.Now let me be frank and say that your texture will improve if you add oil and egg to the mix. That’s just the nature of the game. But the “just add water” version turns out better-than-average pancakes on their own right.I do intentionally overmix the batter a bit to develop the gluten, but then I let the batter rest in the refrigerator overnight. Activate the gluten. Then let it relax a bit. The result is a complex texture that absorbs just enough syrup to give it the pancake a good flavor without making it too heavy.

I make these a little bit more on the wet side so that they’re moist on the plate but they are simply wonderful they’re also good for waffles we get almost the hotel quality of taste. They’re very easy to make and good. Dad always had pancakes on days it snowed and school was closed start a tradition when the kids smell pancakes they know it’s a school snow day :-). These are also great with dinner if you like breakfast with dinner I have bought this several times and it’s always Consistently good

So I just got this and made 1 big pancake this morning. I didn’t measure anything, just used common sense when mixing and it worked. Pancake came out perfect. It was nice and fluffy and the consistency was perfect. My favorite pancake was always Cracker Barrel pancakes and these do compare nicely. I am over all impressed and glad I tried them. I will add blue berries next time or chocolate chips….the way these fluff up they are perfect for adding things to them.

This pancake mix is a good bang for your buck, expiration date isn’t until October 22nd of 2022.I purchased at least 7 packs because everyone in my household is heavy on their pancakes😋. Coming from a family that’s extremely picky, they approved. When mixed well can make extremely thick pancakes. Taste resembles cake with a tinge of butter-flavour. Only thing I wish, because one I’m a huge fan of butter, I wish that “tinge of butter flavour” had more than just that, besides that it’s great. I had no issues with the packaging. It came on time & I’m a happy camper☺️.

BEEN USING THIS BATTER FOR YEARS IN THE CULINARY FIELD FOR YEARS AND INSTEAD OF USING COLD WATER USE HOT THAT ACTIVATES THE BUTTER MILK AND AND BAKING SODA ACTION BATTER AND THEN LET IT SIT AND RISE FOR 30 MINUTES AND THE STIR DOWN INTO A THICK BATTER THEN POUR IN SKILLET AND COOK THEY MAKE OVER AND INCH HIGH PANCAKES UNLIKE THE PAPER THIN THAT MOST PEOPLE MAKE

Yummy yummy! Good value.Had these with diced strawberries mixed in yesterday. Also yummy with pureed tart apple, fried up with a little butter and cinnamon and then added to the mix. nom nom nom.Have used this brand before and never had a problem.Decided the bigger bag was a better value and just poured it in a storage bag inside an empty big coffee container to help protect it and keep it fresh as I don’t eat pancakes all that much. As always save the original packaging if you do this. (The reason I mention storage is because it’s not good to have pancake mix sitting around in an improperly sealed box or bag for long periods of time. I’ve had enough bad experiences with mold to feel moved enough to share this here because this is the “family size” package that might end up sitting in your cabinet for a few months at least. I’ve heard horror stories of people getting sick from mold toxin because just enough moisture slowly built up and mold grew, and it wasn’t easily noticeable, probably in part because of the consistency of the powdery medium not being a solid surface like you might notice mold on cheese for example. Knowing what I know about mold, it’s probably not all that common, but if the box or bag sits around long enough in a moist climate without being COMPLETELY sealed it might just be enough to allow slow growth of just the wrong kind of mold. What makes the nasty mold dangerous is the toxins it releases over time. So just do yourself a favor and invest in a storage container (or use a big Folger’s plastic “can” with a storage bag, like I did) and keep your floury substances away from moisture and storage in a well-sealed container.)On a happy note, forget doing these pancakes injustice with fake “maple” syrup. If you are willing to spend more than a dollar on a cup of coffee, why put junk on your pancakes? Go the extra mile with this Vermont gold  Hidden Springs Natural Vermont Maple Syrup, Amber Rich, 32 Ounce . A little goes a long way. Right now 32 oz is about $20 if you do subscribe and save.

When my order arrived, I’d intended to just have simple pancakes on cold winter mornings or evenings; it was a very GOOD value from this brand. Then I did a little research online and found a great recipe for banana bread using complete pancake mix, tried it, and the banana bread was wonderful! Then I wondered if I could make simple shortbread cookies from this mix. Yes, you can! Muffins, too. It’s so much more versatile than I’d expected… and it makes tasty, basic pancakes quickly.

The media could not be loaded.  I love this stuff. It’s a great base to start with. I use enjoy life mini chocolate chips to make these delicious pancakes. When I make my Lemon berry pancakes I just add lemon juice from half a lemon and about 2 tbsps of my favorite berry preserve to the water that I mix in. They are delightful! Thank me later!I’ve also use the mix in Belgian waffles. It tastes good!I have noticed that it makes a better batter if mixed and refrigerated overnight.
