I’m so happy Amazon had this, I could not find Cilantro leaves anywhere and I like the McCormick brand. I am very happy with this purchase and recommend it for anyone looking for dried Cilantro leaves.

For me, I was glad to find dried McCormick Cilantro Leaves in my local market. Note that Cilantro Leaf also called Coriander Leaf, looks very similar to parsley, yet they are very different in taste and usage:Cilantro (Coriander)1) Has a strong smell and taste. When adding it to a Mexican Dish or any dish, you will use about half as much as parsley because this leaf is so very strong and the dried version is VERY STRONG. So a little goes a long way!2) Cilantro in the dried form is more expensive than parsley leaves.3) Keep in mind that Cilantro (dried) will lose it’s flavor after it sits on the shelf for a long time. Yet for me, I love Cilantro so much, I use it all up before this happens.Parsley:1) Mild scent and mild taste.2) It is best to buy the fresh parsley in the flat leaf as the curly type of parsley is somewhat bitter to taste.3) The dried parsley leaf has a longer shelf life and it is useful in many dishes, mostly as a garnish. For Mexican foods, this is a MUST, but start out gently, as you will either love Cilantro or dislike it. For me, I love the taste of Cilantro as I even add it to my soups, stews and even green salads.

I have found that this is the less wasteful way for me to use cilantro in my recipes and when I make Pico de Gallo. It might be cheating…but this and freeze dried onions help soak up some of the tomato juices and make it less “soupy”. It’s also wonderful in omelets and other dishes!
