Great flavor, for our family it’s the perfect balance of value at a size we can still get through before it loses flavor. I’ve made the mistake of buying the giant size spices before lured by the lower cost per ounce, but by the time we are using the whole bottle it’s dramatically lost flavor. We use this for chili, taco bowls, fajitas, and just general chicken seasoning. Great pantry staple

Looking for a subtle change ? This is it. Nice deep slightly smokey/earthy/rich flavor. I batch my NO bean Semi-Texas style Chili and tried this ~ SOLD. It is by far the best simple flavor I have found. It is not over flavored with loads of cayenne. Batching in a large crock pot for final 7/8 hour simmering & and storing in safe freezable (after cooling) Ball type jars has worked. All sizes of Ball style jars are available here on Amazon. I use 20+ ounce jars and get 4 to 5 jars out of my batches. You will love this McCormick DARK Chili Powder ! !

McCormick spices are great but what’s nice to know is you can use something like this that gets you into the free shipping range for another item you’re ordering. I was a couple dollars off of free shipping on an item I needed and racked my brains on what I needed that only cost a few dollars to get me over the hump. I normally avoid purchasing McCormick spices because spices just as fresh can be purchased more economically elsewhere. I have to say, though, that I am happy with the flavor (reasonably “warm”) pleasantly and mildly sweet as compared to others. Excellent for my kind of chili!! I consider this one a good buy!!
